holy crazy busy week batman. kind of reveling in the exhaustion.
tour week is midway through and we're goin strong.
we shot the video on saturday night. Our studio looked beautiful with all the China balls and christmas lights. performance piece was crazy fun. Since this video has a storyline, I had to stretch my acting abilities by pretending to text a cute boy. i feel i was quite convincing.
Shot the party scene's at Jeff's house amidst an actual house party. Wore what's called a snorri-cam. Basically it's a giant 2X4 that you strap to your chest and put a camera at the end that points at you. creates a neat affect of the background moving while you stay in shot. my poor ribs are still bruised from it, but totally worth it.
during a scene where jeremy and i take a shot together, the guys replaced water with vodka and got a nice reaction on film. i must say that suprise vodka when you think it's water is kind of the worst.
So then on Tuesday we played a show with The Broken Column and before the set we filmed a little cameo of Daniel, their lead singer, to play my love interest in the video.
I had to meet him in a hallways, look sort of coyly happy, grab his hand and walk out the door. and it was SO awkward. I will never be an actress. I was all nervous and giggly. But it was a ton of fun and I'm psyched he's gonna be in the video!
More on the actual show later. back to the real job.
